Man, 43, Accused of Having S£x with Shetland Pony After Breaking into Farm Appears in Court
Damion Ogeare, 43, has appeared at Salisbury Crown Court accused of breaking into a farm and engaging in sexual activity with a Shetland pony.
The alleged incident took place at Maylands Farm in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, on January 24, 2023. Prosecutors claim Ogeare trespassed into a stable containing two Shetland ponies and committed a sexual act with a mare named Cassieopia Wooley.
During the plea and trial preparation hearing, Ogeare spoke only to confirm his name. The court adjourned the hearing to give him more time to seek legal aid, and he did not enter a formal plea.
In an earlier magistrates’ court hearing, prosecutor Christina Norgan stated, “This defendant stands charged in relation to two offences.”
Ogeare faces charges of sexual penetration with a living animal and reckless trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence. He previously denied both allegations.
Wearing a black coat and sherpa hat, Ogeare is expected to return to Salisbury Crown Court on February 27.
