The heiress confirmed that her beachfront Malibu property was burned down, sharing the heartbreaking news in an emotional social media post.
“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burned to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton, 43, wrote while sharing footage of the destruction.
She reflected on the memories tied to the home, emphasizing its significance to her family. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” she wrote, referring to her two young children.
Despite the overwhelming loss, Hilton expressed gratitude for her family’s safety and extended her sympathies to others affected. “My heart and prayers are going out to every family impacted by these fires. To those who have lost their homes, memories, and beloved pets, my heart aches for you. The devastation is unimaginable,” she said.
The Malibu property, though significant, was not Hilton’s main residence. She owns multiple homes in Los Angeles.
The Palisades Fire, which started on Tuesday, has burned through more than 2,900 acres, fanned by winds exceeding 100 mph. Tens of thousands have been forced to evacuate their homes as the fire devastates the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
Other celebrities impacted include Mark Hamill, Ben Affleck, Jamie Lee Curtis, Eugene Levy, and Mandy Moore, who evacuated their homes. Reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, along with James Woods, Adam Brody, and Leighton Meester, have also lost their properties to the wildfire.
