Luisa Kremleva, a TV model, has been handed a six-month suspended prison sentence and fined £1,500 after admitting she falsely accused AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez of rape.
The Russian-born model avoided a trial last October after her lawyer called in sick at the last minute, citing a “medical emergency.” Prosecutors had sought a two-year jail sentence for Kremleva, who chose not to appear in the Malaga court to avoid facing journalists. Instead, she struck a plea bargain with public prosecutors, according to The Sun.
Kremleva confessed to perjury, admitting that her claims of being raped by the French international footballer, 27, in the back of a Porsche outside a Marbella nightclub were fabricated.
The 28-year-old has been formally convicted of making a false criminal complaint and warned she will face imprisonment if she reoffends within the next two years.
Investigators quickly dismissed her claims after reviewing CCTV footage from the car park, which showed that she had accidentally fallen to the ground rather than being pushed out of the car following the alleged “forced sex.”
Police reportedly also obtained a text message Kremleva sent to Hernandez at around 6:15 a.m., two hours after the supposed incident, repeatedly asking when he would go home with her.
