Jhené Aiko is among the many celebrities who have lost their homes to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
On Thursday, January 9, the singer shared the heartbreaking news that the Pacific Palisades home she shared with her children had been destroyed by fire. All of their belongings were lost, leaving them to start over from scratch.
Aiko posted a chilling photo of the fire overtaking her home, showing flames consuming the living room, taken from the street outside.
Some fans criticized her for sharing her loss, claiming it would be easier for her to rebuild due to her wealth. Aiko responded, saying: “Years of hard work is gone in an instant. I hope none of you ever have to experience this.”
She emphasized that the house was the result of years of effort to provide a safe home for her children.
Aiko is not the only star affected by the wildfires. Other celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Anna Faris, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Jeff Bridges, and Candy Spelling, have also lost properties.
The Palisades Fire, the most destructive of multiple blazes in Los Angeles this week, has ravaged the affluent areas of Pacific Palisades and Malibu, leaving devastation in its wake.
