FBI Uncovers Disturbing Evidence in Airbnb Linked to New Orleans Terrorist Attack
The FBI has made a shocking discovery at an Airbnb rental tied to Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old US Army veteran who drove a truck into a crowd in New Orleans’ French Quarter, killing 15 people and injuring at least 35 during New Year’s celebrations.
Authorities suspect that Jabbar prepared IEDs at the St. Roch rental property, located near the site of the attack. FBI agents, alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Homeland Security, removed bomb-making materials from the two-bedroom property on New Year’s Day. A total containment vessel was transported from the scene following the evacuation of nearby residents.
Jabbar, a Texas-born US citizen, traveled from Houston in a rented electric vehicle, reportedly bearing an ISIS flag and containing explosives. He carried out the attack by ramming the truck into pedestrians, exiting the vehicle, and opening fire before being fatally shot by police.
