Ruby Franke is a famous YouTuber who has recently pleaded guilty to the case of four counts of child abuse on December 18, Monday. As per recent reports, her sentence has been decided to be on February 20, 2024. In a statement, she said, “With my deepest regret and sorrow for my family and my children, guilty.”
In August 2023, Ruby Franke along with Jodi Hildebrandt, her podcasting partner were arrested. This happened after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped Hildebrandt’s home allegedly. Her son could be spotted begging for water and food at a neighbor’s place. ABC News reported that a neighbor dialed 911 and stated that Franke’s son was “covered in wounds” and appeared, “emaciated.”
Franke along with Kevin, her husband gained popularity through ‘8Passengers,’ their YouTube channel. On their channel, they posted their way of parenting style which is strict. The mother hailing from Utah, Washington County put her daughter and a minor son through hard times. She inflicted pain on her children from May 22, 2023, to August 30, 2023, with her heinous actions. Ruby Franke abused her kids emotionally. She told her kids that they were possessed and evil, and thus needed to be punished.
As per reports, for a long time, Franke made her 12-year-old son do tiring physical tasks. Under the hot scorching sun, her son performed outdoor labor without wearing shoes, carried heavy loads of books, and was compelled to do wall sits. The kid was punished regularly without giving water.
However, secretly he tried to hydrate himself. He was devoid of electronics, notebooks, and books. The kid treated the injuries on his wrists and ankles with “homoeopathic remedies” and covered his wounds with duct tape. Franke also held her son’s head underwater and was forced to cut off oxygen.
