TikTok Influencer and Mother Sentenced to Life for Murdering Lover in a Shocking Affair Cover-Up

A TikTok influencer and her mother have received life sentences for the murder of a secret young lover who threatened to expose his affair with the mother.

Mahek Bukhari, a 24-year-old social media creator, and her mother Ansreen Bukhari, aged 46, conspired to eliminate Saqib Hussain, who intended to reveal their affair by leaking their intimate video. Both were convicted of murder recently.

The tragic incident occurred when Hussain, along with his friend Hashim Ijazuddin, both 21 years old, were killed in a fiery crash at speeds reaching 100mph. Their Skoda was deliberately forced off the A46 dual carriageway near Leicester by assailants in balaclavas driving two pursuing cars on February 11th the previous year.

During their sentencing at Leicester Crown Court, Judge Timothy Spencer KC described the 999 call as one of the most heart-wrenching pieces of evidence ever presented in court. He chastised Mahek for her excessive sense of entitlement and stated that she was oblivious to the harm she caused. Judge Spencer characterized the case as a tale of love, obsession, extortion, and cold-blooded murder, attributing a deadly “maelstrom” to the actions of the accused.

The victims, both 21 years old and from Banbury in Oxfordshire, were chased by Audi and Seat vehicles containing eight defendants. Mr. Ijazuddin’s Skoda Fabia split in two and caught fire after colliding with a tree at the Six Hills junction in the early hours of February 11th the previous year.

Mahek Bukhari and her mother, residents of George Eardley Close, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, initially denied two counts of murder. Prosecutors revealed that Mr. Hussain was lured into a meeting with the Bukharis in a Tesco car park in Hamilton, Leicester, under the pretense of receiving reimbursement for the £3,000 he claimed to have spent during their secret relationship.

However, the rendezvous turned deadly as Ansreen, Mahek, and six others arrived in two vehicles, an Audi TT and a Seat Leon.
