Russia’s aviation authority has verified that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner, along with Dmitry Utkin, their commander, were present on the aircraft that crashed in the northern region of Moscow.

The RIA state news agency reports that eight bodies have been recovered by Russian emergency services at the crash site. The TASS news agency confirms that the Embraer plane, en route from Moscow to St Petersburg, carried seven passengers and three crew members, all of whom lost their lives.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, aged 62, and Wagner commander Dmitry Utkin, aged 53, were among those who tragically died in the airplane crash today. This information comes from a Wagner Group-affiliated Telegram channel.
Russia’s civil aviation authority has also officially stated that both individuals were on the jet at the time of the accident.
