In Bihar’s Begusarai district, a girl and a man were allegedly discovered in a compromising situation and were subsequently attacked by three individuals. The attackers stripped and assaulted them, as seen in a video that went viral on social media.
The man, identified as a music teacher in his mid-40s, has been detained based on the victim’s statement. According to Begusarai Superintendent of Police Yogendra Kumar,
the accused will face charges under various laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Section 67B of the Information Technology (IT) Act, and Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (sexual offenses).The incident occurred on Thursday, and authorities are currently searching for the three attackers. Additionally, the police have sent the clothing and other items found at the scene for forensic analysis.
A team led by a senior female police officer is investigating the matter. Furthermore, the victim is undergoing a medical examination, and her statement will be recorded before a magistrate.
