Jamal Murray, the Denver Nuggets star player has had his own ups and downs throughout his career. Murray has been through the worst, whether on the court or outside his basketball career. Recently, Jamal recovered from his ACL injury, as he missed the 2021-22 season.
After his return, Murray reflected on his comeback journey, which was definitely a tough one. Also, Jamal was back better than ever, scoring like the elite guard he is and leading his team to the Finals alongside his teammate, Nikola Jokic.
Though almost three years ago, while the league suspended the 2019-20 season due to the pandemic, Murray and his girlfriend Harper Hempel were going through the worst. The couple had one of their private videos leaked on the internet. The following months were a nightmare for both. Though the controversy did not have the league concerned about it as it was a private matter it did affect the couple.

Following the incident, the internet reacted to the controversy, questioning how the scandal had started. Murray later came out and apologized to the fans, explaining that his account had been hacked. This wasn’t the first time an NBA player’s social media account was illegally in the wrong hands.
Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetoukounmpo once had their Twitter handles hacked, though unfortunately for Murray, it was his Instagram. Hempel on the other hand also apologized via her Instagram, as per Heavy.
It’s been about three years since the couple’s nightmare, as they have moved the situation and are back to living their happy lives. Murray had a great season this year, playing in the NBA Finals for the first time.
Whereas Hempel continued to pursue her career in social media management. Hempel and Murray have not revealed any information regarding their engagement and rumors of their break up have emerged as well.
